Had an amazing experience with my guide named Binh. He is a young, energetic person who loves food and his community. He drove me away from the touristy areas and we shared plates of food from authentic restaurants. Binh also asked questions about my likes and dislikes, as well as checking to see if I had any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We also made a stop to walk around a local night market. Binh gave me great future suggestions in HCMC and other stops along my journey traveling through Vietnam.

Sunny and Jane were absolutely fantastic—warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel incredibly safe navigating the city on motorbikes. I truly appreciated their insight into Saigon’s culture and history. That said, I booked this tour mainly for the food, and I was left a bit underwhelmed. We visited four spots (including a sidewalk juice stand), and only tried three actual dishes and two drinks. While everything was tasty, I was hoping for more variety—small portions at 4–6 different stops, with a wider range of street food. I’ve been on many food tours, and this one leaned more into facts than flavors. Still enjoyable, but a better balance would’ve made it a standout.
